I would not want to be in a waka race because it looks scary and I don't want to fall off.

Dear Declan

We been on the waka for two weeks now, I am feeling a bit better now, but when we first left the island I was feeling a bit sad because I missed my friends and my family. It feels like we have been on the water for months not weeks. I'm nervous of what I will find on the island of New Zealand. I hope there are not monsters and dinosaurs.
