Great list of essentials for the Tongariro Crossing! I like that you have even thought about a hiking stick, sounds like you might have done a lot of hiking? I am also really glad that you know to check the weather and tell someone your plans, that is really important safety advice! It sounds like your pack would be ready for any unexpected weather too, making sure you have defences against the sun, wind and cold! I once did the Tonagriro Crossing for School and my trek leader told us that a lot of people run into trouble on the track because of their clothing choices.
Awesome job Caleb and I love the photos! They look really beautiful, especially the Emerald Lake (it looks exactly that colour in real life too!) I also really like Mt Ngauruhoe (Mountain on the right hand side of the bottom picture..It looks like a perfect volcano...did you know they used it as Mt Doom in Lord Of the Rings?)
