Going to the Hokitika pool

  Hokitika Pools

Today mum took me to  the pools in Hokitika I had a great time, we got green onion chips and one twirl that we shared, we got it for a special treat out of the vending machine it was my first time.

At the pools it was cold at first so I got a pool toy and when I was playing on it, it tipped when I was playing on it then the pool wasn't cold anymore.I thought the pool was so refreshing.

I prefer today's style because I just want to wear a t-shirt and shorts, I think that would be more comfortable.

I think in 65 years from now it would be cool if our clothes were digital clothes, and you could push a button and a screen would pop up and tell you your information, like your pulse and your steps for the day and if you are injured or sick, it would alert you. and they would have a built in GPS so you would never get lost. and if you are to hot your clothes will cool you down and if you are to cold they will warm you up.

One day you are walking along the deck of the ship when you hear a loud bang. You start to run as you see smoke coming from the far end of the ship. You run towards the room where your patients are waiting to receive treatment from the doctor. Just as you arrive at the door to their room you hear another loud bang and you...

scream, I turn around and see a team of baddies shooting at the ship, and I also see and smell lots of black smoke from the bombs. Then I hear another bomb heading towards the ship and I start running screaming "run for you life!".
I am feeling scared and worried for all the patients. I want to jump off the ship into the sea, but my patients need me. I go in and put life jackets on them and help them get out of the ship nice and safe. We all jump off the ship, Then We watch the boat sink slowly, with fire and smoke everywhere.
The water is cold but smooth and is glisening in the light from the fire.
Now the ship has sunk to the bottom, and we are in the dark, but far away we can see some thing like lighting flashes, but that's not lighting, that's all the guns firing and bombs exploding.
we are all holding on the each other in a big group floating, kind of like a small island. We are hoping to get rescued soon. I am feeling so cold my teeth are chattering and i'm trying not the fall asleep.

On the 3rd of September 1939 New Zealand declared war with Germany, It was acting prime minister Peter Fraser that confirmed New Zealand was at war, this was what he said:
This is not an occasion for many words; it is a dark day in the history of the world … It is with deep regret and sadness that I make this announcement on behalf of the Government, and the people will receive it with similar feelings. That will not, however, affect the determination of both Government and people to play their part.
Peter Fraser was the 24th prime minister of NZ and was part of the labour party.
