Maui and the giant fish. Summer Learning Journey.

Three facts I learnt about Maui.

Maui had older bothers that wouldn't let him go fishing.

Maui caught a giant fish that turned in to the North Island of nz

Maui Sang a karakia to help the bothers full the waka with fish.

I learnt that Maui had a magic fish hook in the movie moana.

  1. Hi Caleb,

My name is Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you this summer. I'm really excited to read about what you have to say on your blog.

These are 3 really good facts. Well done. I like how you have mentioned the karakia that Maui sang. That was a really good fact.

You are right that Maui does have a magic fish hook in Moana. I'm glad that you could make the connection between the story and Moana the movie.
I wonder if you have heard of any other Maui stories? There is a good one about Maui and the Sun which you can read here if you would like:
